Guangdong is one of China’s most prosperous provinces with the highest total GDP among all provincial-level jurisdictions. Hong Kong, on the other hand; is well-known and well-established as a global commercial city and the wealthiest urban centre in China.
Guangdong Province and Hong Kong SAR have significant, longstanding trade relations with Australia. Over the years, we have seen a great expansion of exchange and friendly cooperation between the three regions.
We are very fortunate to have Mr Huang Huahua, Governor of Guangdong Province, PRC and Mr Henry Tang, Chief Secretary for Administration of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region joining us and deliver keynote speeches at the conference.
The Hong Kong-Guangdong Business Conference will bring together over 200 Government representatives and 300 business leaders from all major industries and sectors of Guangdong’s 21 cities.
The conference will focus on:
- Fast-tracking the expansion of the $US 15 billion in annual two way trade;
- The expansion of Guangdong and Hong Kong export markets in Australia;
- 150 exciting investment projects will be announced; and
- Business to Business matching workshops.
The conference not only aims to further strengthening the commercial ties between China and Australia, it also presents an opportunity for Australian businesses to discover new and fruitful export markets in Guangdong and Hong Kong.
We envisage that all delegates will leave the conference with fresh ideas, new connections and a broader perspective of the Asian market. We look forward to welcoming you or your representatives in October. |
